The AlWood School District has been collecting pop tabs during the 2024-2025 school year to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Last year the district donated the tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City. This summer the district wanted to donate to the Peoria, Illinois Ronald McDonald House to support the Dilworth family.
Mr. Dilworth and his wife have been staying in Peoria for the past 70 days while their son received necessary medical care at the NICU in Peoria. Elementary Principal, Mr. Larson and Superintendent, Mr. Nordstrom, delivered 170 pounds of tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Peoria. Thank you to everyone who donated and we will try to beat that amount this next school year!
We are also pleased to announce the Dilworth Family was able to come home today to their own home as a family. Thank you to everyone for their support. If you have any tabs to donate, please drop them off at the AlWood Elementary School.
