The AlWood School District kicked off the 2026-2027 school year on Tuesday, August 11 with a Back to School Teacher Inservice. The district provided breakfast for staff and were welcomed with a few opening remarks from Board President John Barton. Superintendent Matt Nordstrom then recognized staff members for their Years of Service milestones. Staff Members recognized were:
15 Years of Service at AlWood: Reggie Larson
20 Years of Service: Darcie Berry, Heather Bowers, Tonya Henry, Ginger Nickas, and Brandy Greenman
30 Years of Service: Michelle Steider
Perfect Attendance: Mary Fuson and Sue Schultz
Students then started on Wednesday, August 12th with a full day of student attendance. The district would like to wish everyone a great 2026-2027 school year!
