Update on Monday's sporting events and practices: - Tonight's JH Softball Game has been postponed to a later date and there will be no practice. - Tonight's Golf Meet has been postponed to a later date and there will be no practice. - JH Baseball practice will be from 3:30-5pm in AlWood's Middle School Gym. - Football, Cross Country, and Football Cheer will still practice at their scheduled time with heat precautions in place. Pictures will still take place during today's practice for these sports. - Tonight's HS Volleyball Game will be played with a slight change: Fresh/Soph @ 5:45pm with Varsity to follow @ Monmouth-Roseville High School.

Ridgewood Spartans Homecoming Mums! Mums are available for $12. The deadline to order is noon on Wednesday, September 4 at either AlWood or Cambridge Schools. Further details are in the image. Stop by either school to pick up an order form or download the image and return to the school.

The Alpha Community Team (A.C.T.) is looking for volunteers to help oversee activities for Spirit of Alpha held on Saturday, September 14th from 11-2 pm. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please call or text Becky Brown at 309-236-9236. I can complete volunteer forms to document the time they have helped. Backpack Night & Orientation for 6th-grade and new students is on Tuesday, August 6th. The doors open at 5:30 PM for students to organize their lockers with supplies. Orientation starts promptly at 6:00 PM. Students will meet their teachers, walk through their class schedule, and learn about expectations.

Ms. Danielle Olszewski is the new AlWood band director. She is very excited for the upcoming school year and to meet all of you! Next week, August 5th-9th is our 2024 marching band camp. This will be from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily at the Middle/High School meeting inside the band room ready to go by 8.

Good morning. Due to a waterline issue at the high school, Registration Day has been moved to the elementary school. It will be held in the cafeteria from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th.

Avoid the wait on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 3 -7 PM during registration by turning your packet into the mailbox at the Unit Office or the Elementary School. Once your packet is turned in we will do the rest. Middle School & High School students will need to order p.e. uniforms.

P.E. Uniform Orders for middle & high school students is open from July 15 through July 26. Get your uniform ordered today. If you are having trouble ordering online, we can help you at registration on July 25th.

Save time and drop your registration packet off at the Unit Office or the Elementary School drop boxes. Payment can be made online or by check. If you want to see our smiling faces, registration is Thursday, July 25 from 3 - 7 PM.

Band Camp for AlWood High School students will be August 5th-9th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM every day. Specific marching band information and the schedule will be given on the first day of band camp. Students should meet in the band room each day with their instrument, a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and wear proper attire for being outside: lightweight athletic clothes, hats/sunglasses, gym shoes - NO sandals/flip flops. Anyone not in band who is interested in playing an instrument or participating in color guard should email Ms. Olszewski at OlszewskiD@alwood.net.
